Back by popular demand, the festival will again hold a Photo contest with prizes.
Eligibility: All photographs taken of the 2011 Marina International Festival of the Winds (MIFW) on Friday, May 6, 2011, up to Saturday, May 7, 2011, 7:00 p.m. Photographs must be taken on festival grounds of people attending the festival. Nudes and adult subject matter will be disqualified at the discretion of the judges.

Preparing your Entry:
1) All entries must include 1 PDF Entry Form (below).
2) There are 4 categories: Kites, Skate Boarders, People, and Entertainment. Photographer may enter 1 photograph per category. If multiple entry forms are submitted for 1 photographer, the first form submitted will be used and subsequent entry forms will be disqualified.
3) All entries must be digitally submitted through email as a JPEG with a file size not to exceed 9 MB. File resolution must be a minimum of 1200 x 1500 pixels (8x10 inches at 150 pixels per inch), and not exceed 2400 x 3000 pixels (8x10 inches at 300 pixels per inch). Email attachment size cannot exceed 9 MB, therefore, more than 1 email may be required per entry.
4) JPEG files should have the photographer’s last name, first name and category name separated by underscores (example: Kawasaki_Joe_Kites.jpg.
Deadline: All entries must be emailed to kim@telemetrix.com by Saturday, May 7, 2011, 7:00 p.m. Entries received after this time will be disqualified.
Announcement of the Winners: Judges will select their 3 favorite photographs in each category. Walgreens will provide 1 8x10-inch print of each of the winning photographs to be displayed in the Photography Contest Tent. Winners will be announced at the Photography Contest Tent on Sunday, May 8, 2011, 12 Noon. Winning photographs will be displayed in the Photography Contest from 12 Noon to 4:45 p.m. During that time, people can vote for the Grand Prize Winner, which will be announced at 5:00 p.m.
Prizes: Walgreens will award 1 8x10-inch print of a winning photograph to the winning photographer. All photo entries will be posted on the website.
